MyNotex 1.3.1 (Note Organizing Software) Brings A New Features

As you may know, MyNotex is an application for taking and organizing notes. Among others, the users can organize the notes in categories, change the font size, font type or font color, change the background color, highlight or underline the important stuff.

The latest version available is MyNotex 1.3.1, which has been recently released, bringing the below changes:

Diary view.
Shift all the dates of the activities one day backward or one day forward.
Default start date of a project.
Label with the start and end date of a project.
Change the color of the font and of the background of a subject or of a title of a note.
Sort manually the subjects and the notes.
Move the “activity done” lists in the text of a note.
Small icons on the left of the title of a note if it’s encrypted or has activities.
Print settings.
New icon for the tray.
More options in the “Options” form.
Bugs fixing.

Installation instructions:

For Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.04 and derivatives, up to date mynotex packages are available via the GetDeb repository, so installing the software is easy. Just add the repository and the key to your system, update the local repository index and install the mynotex package.

How to install MyNotex on Ubuntu 15.04 and derivative systems:

How to install MyNotex on Ubuntu 14.04 Utopic Unicorn, Linux Mint 17.2 Rafaela, Linux Mint 17.1 Rebecca, Linux Mint 17 Qiana, Pinguy OS 14.04, Elementary OS 0.3 Freya, Deepin 2014, Peppermint 6, Peppermint 5, LXLE 14.04, Linux Lite 2 and other Ubuntu 14.04 derivative systems:

$ sudo sh -c 'echo "deb http://archive.getdeb.net/ubuntu trusty-getdeb apps" >> /etc/apt/sources.list' $ wget -q -O- http://archive.getdeb.net/getdeb-archive.key | sudo apt-key add - $ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mynotex

For Debian Jessie 8 and Debian Wheezy 7, to install mynotex we have download the deb packages for the system’s architecture and install the mynotex package.

How to install MyNotex on 32 bit Debian Jessie and Debian Wheezy systems:

$ sudo apt-get install gdebi $ wget "https://sites.google.com/site/mynotex/files/mynotex_1.3.1.0_i386.deb?attredirects=0&d=1" -O mynotex_1.3.1.0_i386.deb $ sudo gdebi mynotex_1.3.1.0_i386.deb

How to install MyNotex on 64 bit Debian Jessie and Debian Wheezy systems:

$ sudo apt-get install gdebi $ wget "https://sites.google.com/site/mynotex/files/mynotex_1.3.1.0_amd64.deb?attredirects=0&d=1" -O mynotex_1.3.1.0_amd64.deb $ sudo gdebi mynotex_1.3.1.0_amd64.deb

Optional, if you are not happy with mynotex and want to remove it, do:

$ sudo apt-get remove mynotex
